SCOLA, the leading supplier of foreign language news and cultural programming to private and commercial cable systems in North America , has announced availability of Kabul TV news effective immediately.  Responding to demand from educators for direct news content from Afghanistan , SCOLA's supply agreement with Kabul TV provides Afghan-produced news broadcasts in the Dari and Pashto languages.  The Kabul TV offering increases SCOLA's menu of homeland news programs to include over 70 countries and regions. 

Since September 11, 2001 , there has been renewed interest in the study of foreign languages in North America , particularly the less commonly taught languages and those native to areas of international unrest.  

In business since 1983, SCOLA provides educational resources to students and teachers of foreign languages in hundreds of high schools, colleges and universities.  Where SCOLA is available through commercial cable systems, SCOLA's homeland news programs enjoy growing viewership in ethnic communities across North America .
