This poem is dedicated to Afghan children who suffer in the Afghan civil war.
It has been previously published by the International Library of Poetry

Crying for peace day and night
They are vanished in the daylight

Buried under rubbles in a pile
Have not seen peace in a long while

Afghan children are crying for help
Signs of agony could be seen in their yelp

Searching for peace and signs of hope
The pain is out of their scope

Families are destroyed one after the other
Every child is losing father and mother

We have not seen anything harsher so far
Than a ruthless civil war

Wild flowers are grown with human blood
Afghan streams are carrying red flood

Praying to Almighty Lord
To disable the bloody sword

Put mercy in the killer's heart
To stop breaking his nation apart
