Our country, Afghanistan is a treasure of natural resources, heritage of vast landscape and beautiful scenery. One can see from Ammu river to Hindu-Kush peaks and from Spin Boldak to Hairatan Sea port, a vast land full of forests, attractive country sides, fields full of corps and rivers full of water. In fact Afghanistan his God gifted and pollution free environment. But unfortunately in course of two decades long war and devastation, Afghan environment received great loses. And ultimately the whole society plunged into miseries. Poverty and economic crunches compile most of our countrymen to utilize national resources the other way and cause great lose to Afghan nature and beauty. In this regard we can mention worst use of minerals, forests and precious birds.

National mineral resources are under control of some will known figures and they use at its worst. They use non-professional means for mine explosion and sell those millions worth items for a few dollars just for their self-interests. Similarly vast Afghan land once covered by green forest. But now some non-sense elements changed the said land into barn fields and useful timber has been sold in neighboring countries. It is the case also with our wild birds. Afghan Falcons and eagles living in high mountains and vast desserts. These birds have great value and internationally these birds sustained their market for centuries.

Wild birds like Eagle, Falcon and hawks his vital role in economic output. They play their role in environmental preservation and also having a great deal in research works. Due to said importance and value in other countries governmental and non-governmental organization struggling to preserve their life and their species. But merciless cloches of civil war among Afghan groups also brought a dreadful day for these valuable breeds. Aimless fighting's opened doors for outsider and Eagle oriented business become a flourishing way of income for local commanders. with the help of foreigners they started eagle hunting in very wrong way. According to Peshawar Afghan sources Northern parts of Afghanistan i.e. Kunduz, Shabarghan and central province of Ghazni are famous hunting places for foreign traders. Sources disclose that caching a falcon takes more then six months and one his to pay twenty thousands Pakistani rupees to get permission for three months long hunt in Afghanistan. Arabs from Middle East are routine visitors of Afghanistan and every one is looking for a million worth bird. In 1987 an Arab bought an eagle on six and a half million from an Afghan hunter. Falcons with black and white 18 inches longs always receive its great price. Arabs hunter like Shaheen or eagle for their hunting hobby. An other Afghan bird called Teelor is also famous among hunters. Teelor is famous for its delicious meet. Other hunter birds are being used for five years for hunting and then released.

After many political changes the said business running on the same track and according to reliable sources Ruling parties receive their taxes from trades but never stop them. Eagle traders goes to Afghanistan and buy their birds while Arab shiekhs are waiting in Peshawar for them. Before UN sanctions on Afghanistan Jalalabad - Dubai air flights was a routine route for those traders, who sells beautiful Afghan birds in other countries. Sorry to say that lust for wealth and luxury by some unlucky people Afghanistan is loosing its natural beauty and Afghan nation are being deprived of the rich heritages.
